While every piece is custom, many of my pieces contain Greene & Greene influences. Pleasure in our work comes from building desks, tables, stands, lamps and even small boxes.
This Coffee Table is inspired by a design in Darrell Peart’s great book, Greene and Greene: Design Elements for the Workshop. It is complete with ebony splines, plugs, and details from the Blacker House such as the Blacker Brackets, leg indents, and breadboard edges. The drawer pulls were handmade and inspired by the bedroom desk in the Blacker House.

Greene and Greene Style End Table
This table was inspired by the Gamble House. It features ebony splines and plugs, waterfall detail on the legs, and a waterfall aprons. The drawer has proud finger joints and a custom pull.

Greene and Greene Style Plant Stand
Originally inspired by a much taller plant stand in the Bolton-Bush House, this piece features off-set cloud lift stretchers and cloud lift aprons.

Greene and Greene Inspired Media Cabinet
A beautiful example of what media furniture can be. This table is designed to hold a television or other AV equipment, but built with Greene & Greene as well as Arts and Crafts influences.
The top and shelves feature breadboard ends with ebony splines, glass doors with cloud lifts, custom wood pulls, and hand cut dovetail drawers. The legs of this piece were from a walnut tree cut down in my neighbor’s yard when I was 12 years old.

Greene and Greene inspired Plant Stand
This piece is inspired by a plant stand found in the Thorsen House. The cuts outs in the rail are similar to Tsuba which is a Japanese sword guard, shapes such as these were often used in the Greene’s pieces.

Media Cabinet
The cabinet was created to customer specifications.
It was inspired by piece of furniture in our home from the Berkey & Gay Furniture Company from the early 1900s. The wood is African mahogany ribbon stripe. Reclaimed from kitchen countertops.
The Almonte Bridge Table
This table is inspired by huge scale architecture.
Furniture maker Steve Plivelich is an avid life-long cyclist. His continued interest in professional bicycle racing does occasionally glue him to the television when worldwide cycling races are aired.
During a recent Vuelta Espana, Steve saw a bridge as part of the circuit. This bridge served as inspiration for this piece.
Each vertical bridge ‘truss’ is embedded into the arch, making the construction incredibly sturdy; there are 112 housed mortises.

Stickley Plant Stand
Part Stickley, part Greene and Greene, this plant stand is an elegant piece that represents itself, but allows whatever is put on top to shine.
Walnut Floor Lamp
The lamp base has 4 self-leveling legs that join into a hand carved body. The wire runs through one of the legs, and all legs feature a walnut spline.

Sometimes.. Late at night, when no one is looking… Steve makes beautiful little boxes for keepsakes and mementos.
